F100 3.0.14 for MS-Windows and F100 Firmware 1.0.14

PC F100 changes since release 3.0.12

  • It is possible to change the edit window font size by adding a line to the f100.cfg in the f100 folder. For example: editfontsize=14
  • Changed "Copy to FGen" to allow dot ('.')  characters in a file name (but the file name extension after the last dot is still removed).
  • FTDI USB driver was updated to release 3.1.4

Firmware changes since release 3.0.12

  • It is now possible to create/edit files from the keypad in standalone mode. See user guide for the only file format restriction: When editing files that were initialy created on a PC/MAC, only one frequency per line can be edited (you can have up to 65536 lines in a program). So if you plan to edit files in standalone mode, keep only one frequency per line in your program files at all times. There are no other restrictions, all programming commands available on the PC are available in the standalone editor.
  • Fixed a bug that caused problems when scrolling a list of more than 254 files with the "file open" menu item
  • Added the "output" command that allows selecting which channel(s) go to each BNC output connector
  • Modified  file list scrolling so that pressing key "9" brings you down 90% of the list instead of at the bottom.

F100 3.0.12 for MS-Windows and F100 Firmware 1.0.12

PC F100 changes since release 3.0.11

  • .Added menu option to upgrade a F125 to a F165 with firmware license
  •  Added a bell sound when a program is done running.
  • For F110s only, modified the "copy to FGen" menu option to always copy the file to the autorun file on the generator regardless of the file name on the PC. For F110 users, this prevents having to rename the file to "autorun" before copying it.

Firmware changes since release 3.0.11

  • Increased the keypad repeat delay in the top level menu. This solves a problem with some users touching the menu key for too long and being dropped out of the menu back to the "ready" message prematurely.

F100 3.0.11 for MS-Windows and F100 Firmware 1.0.11

PC F100 changes since release 3.0.9

  • .Modified "copy to FGen" menu option to allow file names up to 32 characters
  • The FTDI USB driver was upgraded to the latest release. This helps with some issues with  buggy/faulty USB implementations in some PC chip sets. If you are installing F100 over a previous release, this USB driver upgrade is optional. If you  want/need to install this USB driver update to fix a problem with your USB ports, you will have to manually update the USB driver in the MS-Windows "Device Manager":  Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager. Right click on "AtelierRobin FGen" under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and select "Update Driver". From this point, follow the instructions in the "Install software" section of the F100 User Guide.
  • F100 now displays "no estimate" in the time fields if the time cannot be estimated
  • F100 now displays the line number it is executing in real time
  • F100 now displays in the status line if frequencies are "fast changing". This is displayed if frequencies are changing faster than 10 times/second on the generator. In such a case, the frequency displayed by F100 on the PC is not in real time since F100 on the PC is updating only 4 times/second.

Firmware changes since release 3.0.9

  • Modified the file system to support up to 32 character file names. To do this, the upgrade procedure will remove files previously stored on the generator and will reformat the file system when the generator is first turned on after copying the new firmware. This process takes from 10-20 seconds and cannot be interrupted. This upgrade is different than previous ones. Pay attention to messages displayed during the upgrade.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented using the keypad to stop/pause/hold a program running standalone if frequencies were changing faster than 10 times per second.

F100 3.0.9 for MS-Windows and F100 Firmware 1.0.9

PC F100 changes since release 3.0.8

  • Mofidied "Copy to FGen" menu item to allow copying up to 1800 files to the generator permanent Flash memory.

Firmware changes since release 3.0.8

  • Enabled "File Open" menu item to open program files stored on the flash memory
  • Added "File Delete" menu item to allow deleting program files stored on the flash memory
  • Enabled "Run", "Hold" and "Pause" keys to allow running and controlling programs in standalone mode

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

F100 3.0.8 for MS-Windows and F100 Firmware 1.0.8

Changes since release 3.0.6/1.0.6

  • Added error message when a program line exceeds the maximum line length of 254 characters.
  • Reduced keypad sensitivity
  • Removed occasional innaccurate error messages at bootup
  • Fixed a bug where dwell was ignored if preceeded by a cdwell command
  • Added "run standalone" PC menu item to allow running a program without USB communication. With this run mode, the generator will continue running if the USB port disconnects, the PC is shut down or the PC crashes. The PC screen is not updated in this mode and the only PC button active is the stop button.
  • Reduced USB communication from PC to generator in normal "run" mode to minimize disconnect errors with faulty/buggy PC USB ports when running very long programs.
  • Added status messages if USB errors are detected
  • Added USB error checking on the generator itself to discard invalid incoming data that can be caused by strong RF noise environments
