From time to time we make available upgrades to the FTDI USB driver used by the F100 software on MS-Windows. All USB driver files necessary for an install/upgrade are located in the usb folder under the folder where you installed F100 on your hard disk. For example, if you installed F100 in the default directory, the USB driver files would be located in c:\Program Files\F100\usb
To upgrade the USB driver:
- Click on the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your screen
- Click on "Control Panel"
- Click on "System"
- Click on "Hardware"
- Click on "Device Manager"
- Right click on "AtelierRobin FGen" under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and select "Update Driver".
A window called "Update Hardware Wizard" will open. In this window:
- Select "Install from a list of specific locations" and click "Next"
- Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" and click "Next"
- Click "Have Disk"
- Click "Browse" and select the file "ftd2xx.inf" in the usb folder under the folder where you installed F100 on your hard disk
- Click "Open" and then "OK"
- Select "AtelierRobin FGen" from the list
- Click "Next"
- Click "Finish"
You are done upgrading the USB driver. You don't have to reboot your computer to start using the generator.
